I've been shot! TWICE!

With vaccine. I am now officially immune to Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Typhoid, along with measels, mumps and rubella. Take your best shot, germs. I dare yah.

In other news, I thought my essay was due today. I put the finishing touches on it (frantically) and then I reread the instructions to make sure I'd done my referencing correctly, and noticed the date. The 11th. Hmm, I thought. That's not today.

Then there was some dancing. (In other news, John Searle doesn't understand computers. Which made my essay much easier to write. Because I do.) Also, I'll bet I am the first person in my class to use the word "gooey" in academic writing. Probably.

In two weeks I'll be on a plane to Taiwan, then to Hong Kong, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, and ThailandMalaysia. If you want postcards, leave me a comment and I'll get your address before I go. Even if I've never met you. C'mon, it'll be fun.*

So, by the way, I'm going to Taiwan in May. For a month. I'm staying with my folks, who live there. It's kind of an early graduation present. We're going to Hong Kong, Vietnam and Cambodia. It's going to be wonderful, except that my mom sent me a list of the dos and don'ts, and one of the don'ts is shorts, particularly in Vietnam. Or skirts (well, long skirts are alright, I'm thinking), or tank-tops, or anything comfortable in the heat.

I keep forgetting that women's rights are a recent, and rather local, phenomena. Bare skin of any sort on a woman is really frowned upon in lots of countries.

Anyway, the other day I was wandering around with my jacket off because it was a balmy 2°C. And so warm!

Did I mention the temperature over there? Mid 30°s.

... I am SO SCREWED.
